New Mercedes-Benz Citan crowned ‘Van of the Year 2013′ in Spain
The Mercedes-Benz Citan has already been voted Van of the Year in Spain, even though the urban delivery vehicle has only recently been launched on the market. The distinction was awarded by the renowned Spanish Transporte3 trade magazine.
Fleet specialists vote Citan into first place
The winning vehicles were selected by an expert panel consisting of 192 fleet specialists from Spain´s largest freight-forwarding companies and plant transport operators. Five vehicles were nominated in the Citan´s segment. The ballots are always secret.
The distinction is the Citan´s first award, and comes only a short time after the van´s market launch. “We´re delighted that such an expert planel gave our Citan this high distinction”, says Volker Mornhinweg, Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans.
Four victories for Mercedes-Benz within just three years
For 24 years now, Transporte3 has been organizing the annual survey for the years best commercial vehicles. The distinction is awarded to vans, trucks and buses in a variety of categories. Over the past two years, the Mercedes-Benz Vito, Atego an new Actros have all won the award in their respective classes.

Our Citan launch day on Friday 18th January was a huge success, despite the Arctic conditions!
It takes more than a bit of snow to stop our Citan Crew, and our urban hero proved its worth, and showed just how well it handles in the snow!
